Summary of Position: Every day is different. You will be responsible for ensuring that all guest apartments are cleaned and presented to the highest standard at all times. You will be passionate about what you do and have a great eye for detail, ensuring every guest that stays is wowed.You will have full accountability of the department in the absence of the housekeeping managers. Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, organise and direct team members to ensure the highest service and cleanliness level. To ensure hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards are implemented and adhered to. Help manage the purchasing, re-ordering and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory based on Natives provided budgets. Build positive and productive working relationship with colleagues and subordinates across the business. Keep a fluent and co-operative communication and working relationship with Reception and Maintenance. To ensure all maintenance faults are reported to the Maintenance Department and that these are rectified immediately, especially if life threatening or dangerous. Ensure that the service in the room is carried out in a friendly and efficient manager. To be aware and follow up of group allocations, VIP allocations and any special requests. To ensure all staff are using equipment (be product and or machinery) correctly and to identify any training needs required. To ensure that all the cleaning materials are being handled correctly. Assist organising and setting up on-going deep clean schedules. To ensure that all staff are attired and presented correctly and are wearing protective clothing if the task requires that they do so. To lead and create a team environment which promote good employee morale and ensure a high level of commitment and Native brands. Assist in Departmental training plan, ensuring each member of staff has a current training record on file. Highlight any performance issues and resolve as appropriate following company guidelines. Experience: Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role Strong leadership and organizational abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment Ability to train and motivate a diverse team Good problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest issues professionally Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts Integrity and a customer-focused mindset
