Our country house hotel is in the village of Ainstable, mile and a half from Armathwaite, and midway between Carlisle and Penrith in the Eden Valley. Our ethos is to serve excellent English country style dishes, delivered with warn and friendly service. Head Chef David leads a small but dedicated team taking great pride in using locally sourced produce. (Please take a look at our website to get a full feel of who and what we are). Our Head Chef needs an extra 'pair of hands' to join his team, and we are happy to meet and chat with you what ever your level of experience. Hours can be flexible, main day to assist would be Thursday in food preparation, getting ready for restaurant open hours over Friday, Saturday and Sunday (there will also be the opportunity for hours Monday to Thursday for private bookings and weddings). This position would, ideally be for a couple to live here in their own apartment, working with us, and helping with house keeping, ground work and front of house.
