Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Independent Prep School - Richmond upon Thames
Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading targeted small group interventions to strengthen understanding and build confidence in core subjects
* Delivering focused Maths and English support sessions aimed at boosting pupil attainment and closing learning gaps
* Working across Year 4 to Year 7, supporting pupils as they progress through key stages of their learning
* Providing classroom support and occasionally leading lessons when required
* Working collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver effective learning support strategies
* Supporting assessment activities and contributing to tracking pupil progress and development
* Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence, and positive engagement with learning

The school is looking for an HLTA who:
* Has strong experience working in a primary school as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
* Is confident delivering academic interventions, particularly in Maths xbpsjku and English
* Has experience supporting pupils across KS2 and into lower KS3 (Year 4-Year 7)
* Has strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Holds HLTA status or has equivalent relevant experience
