About the job. Do you have an inspection background in highways or a related area and looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy being out on site but would like a regular daytime working pattern and more freedom to manage your own workload? Reporting to the Inspector Team Manager, you will work individually or with another team member to complete asset condition and safety inspections, survey works and providing feedback on quality of asset repairs. This role may involve working unsociable hours, including nights. Please note that you will be required to drive as part of your role, and you will need to have no more than 3 points to be considered for this position and during employment. Ideally you should live within an hour's commute from the Depot. Carrying out regular driven Safety Inspections, reporting and raise work requests for high priority safety defects Carrying out cyclical and ad-hoc driving and walking asset inspections on the network in line with agreed schedules, procedures and standards, recording all asset conditions and findings (e.g defects and causes) Monitoring event signage and illegal signage and escalating any issues Supporting regional engineering teams in planning activities by collecting and sharing up to date asset condition and inspection information Prioritising health, safety and wellbeing ...
