Highway Design Engineer
Location: Birmingham city centre (3 days in the office, 2 from home)
Salary: 36k - 46k + benefits
Emtech are working with a UK Wide Engineering Consultancy with 500+ staff who are looking for a Highways Engineer to join their midlands based Civil Engineering team. You will be working on a range of projects under the support of a Chartered Engineer.
Due to recent successes the team is growing and offers excellent opportunities for the right candidate seeking a new challenge within a growing company. You will form part of an existing team to deliver a varied programme of highway and transportation schemes for a wide range of private & public sector clients across both local and strategic highway networks.
Key Responsibilities
2-5 years experience within a similar highway design role Developing highway designs in accordance with the DMRB using AutoCAD or Civils 3D. Production of technical reports as required Undertaking S278 & S38 design work for development projects Undertaking services within an engineering environment which may include (but not limited to); scheme investigation, site inspections, data collection and analysis, works/construction inspections and supervision to progress scheme design, development and construction Drainage design experience useful but not essential Management of work packages with scope to move up to managing small schemes Client liaison as necessary to deliver the schemes/projectsOn offer is the chance to work in a thriving city centre office with further training and room to progress.
