Our client is currently seeking experienced Highway Design Engineers to join their team on a contract basis.

Working within the Highways team, you will be supporting the Capital Highways Improvements Programme in Bournemouth, with a particular focus on Safer Routes to School, the Bus Service Improvement Plan, and the Active Travel Fund.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and implementing highway improvement projects Supporting the Capital Highways Improvements Programme Contributing to projects such as Safer Routes to School, Bus Service Improvement Plan, and Active Travel Fund Collaborating with the project team to ensure project objectives are met Preparing design documentation and technical reports Conducting site visits and assessments as required Ensuring all designs comply with relevant standards and legislation Utilising own vehicle for business travel when necessary

Job Requirements:

Experience in highway design engineering Understanding of capital highway improvements projects Full UK driving licence Ability to use own vehicle for business travel Strong technical and design skills Excellent report writing and documentation skills Ability to work both independently and within a team Effective communication and collaboration skills This role offers the flexibility of remote working with a minimum of one or two days a week in the office located in Bournemouth.
