Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Blaenau Gwent Salary: Starting from £105 per day Working Hours: Part-time, full-time, and ad-hoc roles available (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm)

We are seeking an experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Cover Supervisor to join a school in Blaenau Gwent. In this role, you will support teachers by delivering high-quality education to students across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, covering lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, and providing support to students with additional needs as necessary.

About the Role:

As an HLTA or Cover Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:

Supervising and delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and work effectively.

Supporting the delivery of lessons by helping students understand tasks and learning materials.

Assisting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Additional Learning Needs (ALN) to ensure they are fully supported in their learning.

Promoting positive behaviour and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
