Actual Salary: £32,752 - £33,627 (pro rata, depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Working Weeks: 195 days per year

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead and manage a Resource Provision within a mainstream secondary setting.

*This is a key role requiring strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a deep commitment to inclusion and pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, plan, and deliver high‑quality small‑group and individual interventions tailored to pupil need
Organise and oversee the delivery of the RP curriculum, ensuring access, progress, and inclusion
Ensure the correct pupils are targeted for appropriate intervention programmes
Monitor attendance, engagement, and outcomes for intervention pupils
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and impact within agreed timescales
Lead and attend review meetings related to pupils accessing SRP support
Monitor progress of pupils with SEND and identify gaps requiring further intervention
Contribute to annual reviews, EHCP processes, and termly SEND provision reviews
Develop positive relationships with parents/carers, including through meetings, workshops, and reviews
Support smooth transitions between year groups using available information and planning tools
Support the implementation of exam access arrangements
Support the use of IT and assistive technology to enhance learning and independence
Liaise with external agencies and partner schools to ensure best practice
Support the deployment and daily organisation of support staff within the provision
Contribute to recruitment, induction, mentoring, and training of Learning Support Assistants
Lead or contribute to team meetings in consultation with the SENDCo

Essential Criteria

Experience & Knowledge

Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND, including those with complex needs
Experience leading or delivering interventions (literacy, numeracy, social skills, exam access, speech & language support)
Strong understanding of inclusive practice and SEND processes (EHCPs, reviews, referrals)
Experience working collaboratively with teachers, families, and external professionalsSkills & Abilities

Ability to lead groups and manage provision with confidence and clarity
Ability to monitor progress and adapt provision based on pupil need
Calm, flexible, and solution‑focused approach to behaviour and support
High expectations of pupils and self
Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing
