Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Secondary Schools

Location: Lewisham
Contract: Full-time | 5 days per week

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across a range of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools in Lewisham. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to supporting young people and keen to develop their career within education.

The Role:

Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4

Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

Working with individuals and small groups to raise attainment and engagement

Supporting students with a range of additional needs, including SEN and SEMH

Building positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Contributing to a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience

Previous experience working in a secondary school setting

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

A flexible, proactive, and professional approach
