High Level Teaching Assistant - Colchester

We are currently recruiting for experienced and dedicated High Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to work across schools in Colchester and the surrounding areas.

This role is ideal for confident HLTAs who are passionate about supporting learning, leading classroom activities, and making a positive impact on pupils' progress.

The Role:

Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

Support pupils through whole-class teaching, small group work, and 1:1 interventions

Assist with lesson preparation, assessment, and progress monitoring

Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning

Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams

The Ideal Candidate:

Holds HLTA status or has equivalent experience

Previous experience working in UK schools

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach

A genuine passion for education and child development
