LOCATION: Alphington, Exeter, EX2 9SL 

WORK PATTERN: Monday to Friday, varying start times 

RATE OF PAY:  Days £15.53ph / Nights £18.56ph

HG Recruitment are hiring a CLASS 2 HGV DRIVER for a long‑term, high‑value client in ALPHINGTON, EXETER. The role involves transporting automotive parts and materials between plants, suppliers, and logistics hubs to support smooth production and on‑time deliveries. Monday–Friday shifts, with both day and night options available and separate earnings for each.  This is a temporary role with a view to becoming a permanent position. 

DUTIES: 

Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others. 

Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage. 

Always provide excellent customer service and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery. 

CLASS 2 HGV DRIVER must carry out multi-drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner. 

Be aware of any vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary 

Requirements: 

HGV C+E, HGV Class 2 licence – minimum 6 months 

Digi Tacho & CPC cards 

Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements 

Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Driver’s Hours) 

Good national geographical awareness 

Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills 

Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised 

Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service 

Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
