HGV/Agricultural Engineer

We are looking for a skilled HGV/Agricultural Engineer to join our team at West Dereham, near Downham Market to maintain and repair HGV Vehicles and Agricultural equipment and machinery. The role will be based inside the workshop but travel for mobile repairs will be required.

The Engineer will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues with engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and other functional components of the machinery.

Our ideal candidate is knowledgeable about the mechanical and electrical operations of various farm equipment, and should have a problem-solving mindset, in addition knowledge of HGV Vehicles and Trailers.

Ultimately, the role is to ensure that all machinery and equipment run smoothly and reliably to support productive farm operations.

* Inspect, service and repair components of agricultural machinery and equipment
* Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
* Test repaired equipment for proper performance
* Service attachments and working tools of equipment
* Maintain accurate records of the maintenance work performed
* Keep up-to-date with developments in farm machinery technology
* Ordering of parts and keeping relevant stocks.

*Qualifications*

* Proven work experience as an HGV or Agricultural Mechanic or related role with at least 2 years experience
* Full clean driving licence
* Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles and farm machinery
* Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment
* Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods

Hours will vary but basic will be Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm and some weekend working and out of hours work required
