Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join our team in Bristol. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of £42,000 - £44,000 and is perfect for an experienced technician looking to work regular day shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a range of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance & Repair:
Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:
Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues and execute necessary repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Safety Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections, identifying and addressing any safety or compliance issues to meet legal and company standards.
Documentation & Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance in line with DVSA standards and company policies.
Parts and Inventory Management:
Replace and manage stock parts as needed, collaborating with the parts department to ensure efficient workflow.
Collaboration with Team Members:
Work closely with other technicians and departments to deliver high-quality service and maintain a safe, clean workshop environment.Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role, with a strong background in vehicle diagnostics and repairs.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent certification preferred.
Technical Skills:
Skilled in using diagnostic tools and familiar with a range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to carry out detailed inspections and repairs, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
Health & Safety Awareness:
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to HGV maintenance.Benefits:
