HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter - Burton-on-Trent (Roadside + Workshop)

Location: Burton-on-Trent

Hours:

- Week 1: Monday-Friday 06:00-14:30

- Week 2: Monday-Friday 13:00-21:30

- 1 week in 4 on a 24/7 callout rota

Pay: £40,(Apply online only)-£45,(Apply online only) basic (OTE up to £70,(Apply online only))

Job Type: Full time, permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join a busy commercial vehicle operation in Burton. This HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter role offers strong basic pay, a lucrative callout rota, and the chance to work across roadside breakdowns and workshop based diagnostics, servicing and repairs.

The Role:

- Attend and carry out roadside repairs as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

- Diagnose, repair and replace components in line with technical standards

- Report on vehicle condition and identify defects

- Carry out workshop repairs, servicing and maintenance

- Maintain and develop product and technical knowledge

The Requirements:

- Time served HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI)

- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills

- Experience working on HGVs and commercials

- Full UK driving licence (HGV desirable)
