HGV Technician

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to work for our client who are in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

THE DUTIES:

* Carry out routine inspections and servicing of HGVs in line with maintenance schedules

* Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance in a safe and professional manner

* Diagnose vehicle faults accurately using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques

* Investigate mechanical and electrical issues and report findings clearly

* Complete all repairs in accordance with current manufacturer standards and guidelines

* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company procedures

* Maintain accurate records of inspections, diagnostics, and repair work completed

* Report directly to the Workshop Manager and communicate any issues or additional work required

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

* Please only apply if you have the proper Mechanical qualifications i.e. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or time served with an IRTEC accreditation.

* Knowledge of cranes or hydraulics

* Experience working on tippers, tipper grabs or beaver tails

* Knowledge of latest diagnostic systems

* Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) HGV License (Car License Holders will also be considered)

* We very much pride ourselves on the standards of service on all of our vehicles. As a HGV Technician, you will be responsible for managing diagnostics and ordering parts effectively whilst being able to carry out all repairs to the highest standards and with the most effective use of time

THE HOURS:

50 hours a week on average.

Monday – Friday: 7am – 5pm

Every other Saturday mornings are also contracted (paid at a time and half)

THE PAY:

You will earn an hourly of £19.80; overtime is paid at x1.5.
