Position Overview: The position of a Technician focuses on the specialist repair, maintenance and diagnostics of ADR equipped tractor units and cryogenic/compressed heavy commercial trailers.
The ideal candidate will ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
You will be reporting into an experienced Workshop Manager you looks to deepen your knowledge through detailed training programmes that offer exciting development opportunities.
45hrs p/w
- Shift based work Fulltime Locations: UK, but based at Ford West Sussex Specialist training given Earnings & Incentives Structure: Salary: £55,000pa with usual company benefits Company Vehicle Overtime available On Call with Emergency callouts Key Responsibilities: Inspecting & Troubleshooting Maintaining and inspecting heavy commercial vehicles within the ADR sector to high standards Diagnosing malfunctions in vacuum-insulated tanks, centrifugal/positive pressure pump systems and valves Documentation Using R2C to record maintenance, repairs and modifications in a detailed, accurate fashion Quality Control, Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations regarding the maintenance & transportation of gases, Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in the handling of gases.
Maintain safety and complaint with industry regulations Reporting & Co-ordination Providing reports to the Workshop Manager on ongoing jobs Support continuous improvement initiatives Required Skills and Qualifications (preferred / training given) IRTEC qualified Level 2 & 3 IMI, City & Guilds, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles PAS 43 (desired) REACT Licence (desired) Experience with Workshop Systems such as R2C (desired) Experience in compressed & cryogenic engineering (desired) Experience with cryogenic gas systems, including storage, transportation, and safety protocols.
