We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanics for two growing teams at Gatwick Airport. Working as a mechanic, you will be responsible for the servicing of all ground equipment airside. Working on ground service equipment, including towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators, and other specialist vehicles. Using your mechanical expertise, you will diagnose faults and carry out repairs, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment on-site.

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic- Responsibilities and Duties

Servicing, maintenance, and repair of GSE Equipment

Complete all paperwork to a high standard.

Providing a best-in-class customer experience for our business customers

Comply with H+S Legislation

Liaise with internal customers.

Assist in carrying out all vehicle mechanical and electrical PPM (Planned and Preventive Maintenance) in line with set schedules

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic Hours

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic Hours- 4 on 4 off 12hr day & night shifts paying £51,547

HGV Mechanic /HGV Technician working 4 on 4 off 6am-6pm paying £47,000

Enhanced overtime rates at time & a half

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic- About you

Level 3 qualified (City & Guilds or equivalent)

Experience with HGV, plant, or commercial vehicles

Strong diagnostics and fault-finding skills

Safety-conscious and reliable

5-year checkable history to obtain an airside pass

Able to pass a basic criminal record check.
