HGV Technician 2pm to 10pm Shift

Location:Grays, RM16 Salary: £41,000 - £45,000Contract: Full-time, Permanent Shift: MondayFriday, 2pm10pm (with optional overtime)

About the Role

Were looking for a skilled and reliable HGV Technician to join our workshop team on the afternoon shift. Youll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a modern fleet of HGVs to ensure they remain safe, compliant, and road-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on HGVs

  • Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment

  • Complete MOT prep and safety checks

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs

  • Maintain accurate service records and paperwork

  • Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime

  • Ensure all work meets DVSA and company standards

  • Support colleagues and contribute to a clean, safe workshop environment

What Were Looking For

  • Qualified HGV Technician / Mechanic

  • Experience working on HGVs

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 or 2 desirable but not essential)

  • A positive attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship
