Salary: £23.37 per hour Plus overtime rates
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 42 hours per week (shift pattern between 06:00 19:00)
Pin Point Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Maintenance Fitter to join a busy and well-established vehicle workshop within the chemical industry.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected company operating a modern fleet of HGV vehicles and trailers.
You will play a key role in ensuring the fleet remains compliant, roadworthy, and safe for delivering products to loyal customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain and inspect HGV vehicles and trailers to VOSA standards
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Carry out routine servicing and repairs including brakes, gearboxes, and clutches
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns when required
- Identify and order parts as necessary
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation using the companys vehicle maintenance system
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements, including wearing appropriate PPE
Requirements:
- Proven experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, repair and diagnostics
- Previous experience working within a busy HGV workshop
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- ADR knowledge and experience (essential)
- Ability to work independently xbpsjku and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of compliance and safety standards
Working Hours & Benefits:
- 42 hours per week on a rotating week-about shift pattern (between 06:00 19:00)
- £23.37 per hour
- Overtime Monday to Saturday paid at time and a half
- Overtime Sunday paid at double time
- 25 days holiday per annum
