Our client is looking for a HGV Driver Grade E in the NE8 Region.

The HGV Driver Grade E is responsible for transporting materials, plant, and machinery to and from work sites, primarily within a highways environment. The role involves operating heavy goods vehicles, towing equipment such as rollers, dumpers, and mini diggers, and supporting on-site operatives with day-to-day tasks. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in highways work, including handling materials such as tar, flags, and kerbs, and will be comfortable working in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

Main Duties:
Drive HGV wagons to transport materials safely to and from work sites.
Tow plant and machinery including rollers, dumpers, and mini diggers.
Load and unload materials and equipment as required.
Assist operatives on-site with general labouring tasks.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements & Responsibilities:
Hold a valid HGV licence with relevant driving qualifications.
Demonstrate experience in highways work (tar, flags, kerbs, etc.)
Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
Be reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.
Show flexibility to support site operations and varied duties as needed

Shift Patterns:
Mon - Fri (7.30am - 4pm)
