4 on 4 off Pay: From £36,000.00 per year Job Description: We are recruiting for a HGV driver to join our team on a full time and permanent basis. Working hours will be on a rotation of working 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off which will cover both nights and days. Please note that prior experience of working as a HGV Class 1 driver is essential for this position. You will help to ensure the on time and in full delivery of sandwiches and food to go items to our customers. You will be a key part of our team, helping to ensure that we maintain food safety standards throughout the journey to our customers. What you will be doing: As a client-facing ambassador of our brand, our team of drivers are to maintain high standards of behaviour and personal appearance and remain committed to our quality and service ethos. Delivery rounds will be varied and training on different rounds will be given where required. You can expect to: Complete all food safety and transport documentation as required on every shift. Complete vehicle temperature checks prior to each delivery to ensure goods are within required temperature specifications and that vehicle safety standards are maintained. Work within your qualified legislation constraints which will be monitored, with licence checks completed twice annually. Maintain cleanliness of vehicles (both inside the cab and the exterior the vehicle). Return empty basket and pallet equipment on each journey and unload into storage area prior to cleaning your vehicle. Refuel vehicles prior to return to site and ensure odometer readings are recorded. About You: Have had a full UK driving licence for at least 24 months with no more than 6 penalty points Full Driving Licence HGV1 and Digi-card holder In date driver CPC FLT Experience is desirable Experience of transporting refrigerated goods would enhance your application A safe and courteous driver Able to take the initiative and use common sense Care about making a difference for customers and colleagues Can stay calm under pressure Benefits: Canteen Casual dress Discounted or free food Health & wellbeing programme On-site parking Experience: Class 1: 2 years (required)
