Salary:Starting from £36,000 - £39,000 per annum

About the Role

As a Removals HGV 2 Driver, youll take full responsibility for the company vehicle, ensuring every load is transported safely and efficiently from collection to delivery. Youll also assist with packing, loading, and unloading, so a good level of physical fitness is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a commercial vehicle safely and reliably, taking responsibility for the vehicle and its load at all times.
  • Carry out daily vehicle and safety checks, perform routine maintenance (oil, water, etc.), and report any defects.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and compliant with Road Traffic Legislation and operating limits.
  • Work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Safe Systems at Work procedures, and Quality System policies (ISO9002).
  • Accurately complete all required vehicle and delivery paperwork.
  • Undertake regular Driver CPC training and actively support ongoing personal and team development.
  • Recommend improvements to loading and unloading processes to the Operations Controller.

About You

  • Hold a validHGV Class 2 (Category C) licenceandDriver CPC.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Be physically fit and able to handle the demands of removals work.
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude and a focus on teamwork.
