Position: HGV Driver & Supervisor
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Bennett & Game are partnering with a long-established, privately owned international courier business who are now seeking a HGV Driver / Supervisor to support and oversee their night operation from their Hemel Hempstead site.
This position is fully operational and requires someone who is confident behind the wheel as well as capable in an office environment. The successful candidate will split their time between driving duties and supervising the team to ensure the smooth running of the depot.
Position Overview
Oversee all night-time transport activities across the depot Ensure the operation runs efficiently and in line with company standards Carry out driving duties as required Maintain full compliance across the fleet and operation Build and manage relationships with subcontractors Support with budgeting and operational planning Undertake people-management duties including recruitment, rota planning and disciplinary processes Requirements
Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Licence - essential Background in courier, parcel or logistics operations - advantageous Supervisory or management experience within a transport environment Comfortable with hands-on duties and supporting across the depot where needed Transport Managers CPC - beneficialRemuneration
