HGV Class 2 Steel Driver – Dudley
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Steel Driver to join our well-established client based in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.
Shifts
•  Monday to Friday
•  06:00 starts
Rates of Pay
•  £15.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
•  Delivering steel products, typically in rigid trucks (less than 32 tonnes)
•  Operating and driving Class 2 (Category C) vehicles safely and efficiently
•  Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
•  Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly
•  Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
•  Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
•  Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
•  Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required
Essential Skills
•  Valid UK Category C driving licence
•  Minimum of 12 month's experience driving Category C vehicles
•  Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
•  No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
•  Good level of spoken and written English
•  Punctual with excellent time-keeping
•  Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
•  Effective communication skills
•  Previous experience working in the steel industry
Desirable Experience
•   Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
•  Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training Provided
•  Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout
