HGV Class 2 Moffet Driver

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Moffet Driver to join our well-established client based in Wellingborough. This is a fantastic opportunity, offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

Shifts:
 • Monday to Friday
 • Monday to Thursday nights out required

Rates of Pay:
 • Basic: £17.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a HGV Class 2 Moffet Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
 • Carrying out RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required)
 • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
 • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
 • Loading and unloading materials (such as insulation and plasterboard) using the truck-mounted forklift
 • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
 • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
 • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
 • Ensuring proper handling and placement of goods at delivery points

Essential Skills:
 • A valid UK Category C licence
 • A valid T1 vehicle-mounted lift truck qualification
 • A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category C vehicles
 • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
 • A valid UK CPC card and Digi card
 • Good spoken and written English
 • Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
 • A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
 • Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:
 • Previous driving experience

Training Provided:
 • Driver's assessment must be completed before starting
