HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER

People Solutions Tamworth are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client's growing transport operation in Tamworth and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced/qualified drivers who are looking for stability, great earning potential, and long-term progression.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - 0400-0600 (x2 night outs)

Pay Rate: £15.00ph

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Safely operate and drive Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
  • Complete loading and unloading tasks with care and accuracy
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects to management
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff

Essential Skills

  • Valid UK Category C Licence
  • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, CD codes)
  • Reliable, professional, and punctual
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Understanding of road safety and compliance

Desirable Experience

  • Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
  • Experience handling large or bulky goods
  • Good customer interaction and service skills

Training

  • Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
