HGV Class 2 Driver

Rapier Employment is recruiting Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Drivers for work based in Northampton NN4 area. This role offers flexible shift patterns, competitive pay rates, and the opportunity for a permanent position.

Pay Rates (PAYE)

• Weekday AM shifts (4:00am8:00am): £16.39 per hour
• Weekday overtime: £21.79 per hour
• Weekend day shifts: £20.49 per hour
• Weekend overtime: £21.79 per hour

Shift Patterns

• AM starts from 4:00am
• Ad hoc work available
• 5 on / 3 off
• 4 or 5 days per week (minimum of 1 weekend day required)
• ThursdayMonday
• TuesdaySaturday

Average 46 drops per shift
Typical shift length 910 hours
Job Role

• Multi-drop deliveries to small retail stores
• Cage and pallet work involved
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times
• This is a physical role; applicants MUST be fit and comfortable with manual handling

Driver Requirements

• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 2 experience
• Maximum 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Driver CPC
