HGV Class 2 Driver – 12 Months Preferred

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver – 12 Months Preferred to join our well-established client. This role would suit candidates who have experience as a HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, or Category C Driver. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine long-term progression.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday

Rates of Pay

 • £35,000 – £48,000 per annum

Day-to-Day Duties

As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

 • Safely operating and driving Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
 • Collecting and disposing of waste engine oil
 • Completing all required paperwork accurately
 • Carrying out daily vehicle checks
 • Adhering to all road regulations
 • Working within driving and working time regulations
 • Completing two nights out per week

Essential Skills

To be considered for this HGV Class 2 Driver role, you will need:

 • A valid UK Category C Licence
 • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
 • No more than six penalty points for minor offences
 • No IN, DR, DD, or CD codes
 • A reliable, professional, and punctual approach
 • Good communication and customer service skills
 • A strong understanding of road safety and compliance

Desirable Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

 • A minimum of 12 months' experience driving a Class 2 HGV (preferred)
 • Previous driving experience (preferred)

Training Provided

 • Full industry-related training provided
 • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
