HGV Class 2 / 7.5T Driver

Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £31,000 - £37,323 (depending on experience, licence, and qualifications)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 / 7.5T Driver to join a well-established business based in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a hands-on, customer-facing driving role with a strong work-life balance.
The Role

  • Multi-drop delivery of products across Central Southern England
  • Providing a high level of customer service at delivery points
  • Manual handling as part of daily duties
  • Conducting vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and road legislation
  • Start time of 7:00am with flexibility on finish times
Working Hours & Pay
  • Guaranteed 9 hours' pay per day, regardless of early finishes
  • Typical working hours:o Non-peak: around 7 hours per dayo Peak: around 8 hours per day
  • Occasional longer days during peak periods, but rarely exceeding 9 hours
  • Work is planned to complete deliveries before site closures (typically by 4:00pm)
  • Pay period runs from 24th to 23rd each month
Requirements
  • Valid HGV Class 2 or 7.5T licence
  • Valid CPC and Tachograph card
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
  • Comfortable with manual handling
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Flexible and reliable approach to work
