HGV Class 2 Day Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Birmingham, Aston, WEST MIDLANDS. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress. Shifts: Monday - Friday: start times between 03:00 and 06:00 Rates of pay: £16.00 per hour Benefits: As a HGV Class 2 Driver you will receive the following benefits: Excellent Hourly Rates Ongoing Work Weekly Pay Site Canteen Training Provided Immediate Starts Employee Well-being Program Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to: Store Deliveries which will involve handballing Operate and drive various Category C vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed Use of electric or manual pump truck Tail lift usage Normally 7-8 deliveries/collections Essential Skills: As a HGV Class 2 Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category C Licence Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving Category C vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial Training: Industry related training provided around processes and procedures with ongoing support without Contact: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below or get in touch with our recruitment team to find out more People Solutions do not charge any of their candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
