HGV Class 1 Steel DriverPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver to join our well-established client based in Wednesbury, West Midlands.This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.This position would be ideal for a person looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver / Truck Driver / CE Driver.Shifts:  •  Monday to Friday   •  Start times between 04:00 – 07:00Rates of Pay:  •  £18.00 per hourBenefits:Your benefits as HGV Class1 Steel Driver will be:  •  Excellent hourly rates   •  Ongoing work   •  Weekly pay   •  Site canteen   •  Training provided   •  Immediate starts   •  Employee well-being programmeDay-to-Day Duties:Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver will be:  •  Delivering steel products (previous steel experience is mandatory)   •  Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently   •  Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections   •  Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly   •  Adhering to traffic laws and regulations   •  Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers   •  Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management   •  Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as requiredEssential Skills:The skills required as a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver will be:  •  Valid UK Category CE driving licence   •  Minimum of twelve month's experience driving Category CE vehicles   •  Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card   •  No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes   •  Good level of spoken and written English   •  Punctual with excellent time-keeping   •  Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations   •  Effective communication skills   •  Mandatory previous experience working with and transporting steelDesirable Experience:  •  Previous experience driving commercial vehicles   •  Previous multi-drop delivery experienceTraining:  •  Industry-related training and ongoing support throughoutContact:If you are ready to take on this opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment processJBRP1_UKTJ
