HGV Class 1 Night Driver - Garretts Green

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Garretts Green, Birmingham.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shifts:

  • Monday - Friday nights: start times between 17:00–21:00

Rates of Pay:

  •  £17.25 per hour (basic)

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a HGV Class 1 Night Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  •  Depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps
  •  Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  •  Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
  •  Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules

Essential Skills:

As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

  •  Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) driving licence
  •  Minimum of one year Category CE driving experience
  •  No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major
  •  Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  •  Good spoken and written English

Desirable Experience

  •  Previous commercial driving experience

Training Provided

  •  Driver assessment required prior to start
  •  Industry-related training and ongoing support
