HGV Class 1 Driver – Solihull, West MidlandsPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver based in Solihull, West Midlands to join our well-established client. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of household goods, with plenty of ongoing work available.Shifts  • Monday to Friday – start times between 03:00 and 06:00   • Weekend availability if requiredRates of Pay  • £17.00 – £20.35 per hourBenefits  • Excellent hourly rates   • Ongoing work   • Weekly pay   • Overtime available   • On-site canteen, vending machines, and pool tables   • Training provided   • Temporary to permanent opportunities   • Immediate starts available   • Early finish on Fridays   • No weekend working required   • Employee well-being programmeDay-to-Day Duties  • Operate and drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently   • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections   • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured correctly   • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations   • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers   • Maintain accurate records of shipments, mileage, and fuel usage   • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs   • Assist with loading and unloading when requiredEssential Skills  • Valid UK C+E (Class 1) licence   • Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience   • No more than six penalty points (minor endorsements only)   • Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards   • Good spoken and written English   • Experience with various trailer types   • Reliable, punctual, and professional   • Excellent communication skills   • Flexible and able to work overtime   • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlinesDesirable Experience  • Previous commercial driving experience across multiple vehicle typesTraining Provided  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignmentApplyIf you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.JBRP1_UKTJ
