HGV Class 1 Driver – Night Shifts - StaffordPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Stafford, Staffordshire.This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.Shifts: Working five nights between Monday and SundayStart times: 01:00 – 03:00 Pay rate: £18.00 per hour Benefits: As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will receive the following benefits: Excellent Hourly Rates Ongoing Work Weekly Pay Site Canteen Training Provided Immediate Starts Employee Well-being Program Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to: Between 1 – 3 drops using pump trucks Operate and drive various Category CE vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed Essential Skills: As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: Experience driving any commercial vehicles Previous experience with multi drop deliveries Training: Industry related training and ongoing support throughout Apply Today – Do Not Miss Out!
