HGV Class 1 Driver – SolihullPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver – Solihull to join our well-established client based in Solihull, West Midlands.This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of household goods with plenty of ongoing work available.Shifts: • Monday to Friday: start times between 03:00 and 06:00 • Weekend availability if requiredRates of Pay: • Monday to Friday – £17.00 per hour • Saturday – £18.00 per hour • Sunday – £19.00 per hourBenefits:Your benefits as a HGV Class 1 Driver are: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Overtime available • On-site canteen, vending machines, and pool tables • Training provided • Temporary to permanent opportunities • Immediate starts available • Early finish on Fridays • No weekend working required • Employee well-being programmeDay-to-Day Duties:As a HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to all traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers • Maintaining accurate records of shipments, mileage, and fuel usage • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements to management • Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when requiredEssential SkillsAs a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • Valid UK Category CE driving licence • Minimum of twelve months Category CE driving experience • No more than six penalty points (no major endorsements) • Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good level of spoken and written English • Experience operating various trailer types • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude • Excellent communication skills • Flexibility to work overtime when required • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesDesirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience across multiple vehicle typesTraining Provided • Industry-related training and ongoing support provided throughout your assignmentApplyIf you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.JBRP1_UKTJ
