HGV Class 1 Driver – Solihull, West Midlands

to join our well-established client based in

Solihull, West Midlands . This role would suit candidates who have experience as an

HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Driver, or Class 1 Delivery Driver . This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of household goods, offering plenty of ongoing work and long-term opportunities. Shifts • Monday to Friday

• Start times between 03:00 and 06:00

• Some weekend availability required Rates of Pay • £17.00 per hour (Monday to Friday)

• £18.00 per hour (Saturday)

• Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Operating and driving Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently

• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly

• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations

• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers

• Maintaining accurate records of shipments, mileage and fuel consumption

• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

• Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required

• Completing up to 3 store deliveries or trunking work depending on the run Essential Skills As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence

• Minimum of 12 months' experience driving C+E vehicles

• Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card

• No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes

• Good level of spoken and written English

• Experience operating various trailer types

• Punctual with excellent time-keeping

• Effective communication skills

• Flexible and available to work overtime when required
