Make sure to apply quickly in order to maximise your chances of being considered for an interview Read the complete job description below. • Start times between 03:00 and 07:00 (flexibility required) Rates of Pay • Basic: £17.00 per hour • Saturday: £19.14 per hour • Sunday: £25.18 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing, reliable work • Weekly pay • Paid training and induction • Supportive transport team and modern facilities Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Carrying out 2–3 depot-to-depot trunking runs per shift (curtain-sider work, no handball) • Operating Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations • Completing daily vehicle checks before and after each shift • Ensuring all loads are secured and compliant with transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly Essential Skills • Valid UK Category C+E Licence • Minimum 12 months' experience driving C+E vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements) • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Strong understanding of UK traffic laws and regulations • Excellent communication and timekeeping skills • Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism at all times Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience • Experience with multi-drop or trunking operations Training Provided • Driver assessment required prior to start • One-day paid induction following successful assessment Apply If you are a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver looking for a long-term role with excellent pay and consistent hours, apply today or contact our recruitment team for more information. xehkeey People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.
