HGV Class 1 Driver

Night Shift

Location – Shepton Mallet BA4

Salary - £18.00 per hour

Shift pattern/days worked – 18.30 starts Monday - Friday.

We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular work on an ongoing Monday to Friday basis, completing night shifts.

The role is HGV 1 night trunking role colleting palletised goods for delivery the next day.

Key tasks:

* Trunk run on behalf on the Pallet Ex

* Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations

* Supervise the loading of palletised goods

* Plan route making sure pallets are strapped down correctly

* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

* Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

* Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

Requirements:

* Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) 2 years minimum experience

* Proven experience as a truck driver with multi drop experience of palletised goods

* Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers

* Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

* Strong communication and customer service skills

You will need to complete a 2 hour induction and assessment before starting.
