HGV Class 1 Driver

to join our well-established client based in

West Bromwich . This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress. Shifts: Thursday - Monday: start times between 14:00-17:00 Rates of Pay: Basic: £17.20 per hour and after 20:00 is paid at £20.00 per hour Sunday : £22.00 per hour Bank Holiday: £31.73 per hour Benefits: Your benefits as a HGV Class 1 Driver are: Excellent Hourly Rates Ongoing Work Weekly Pay Onsite Canteen Training Provided Immediate Starts Employee Well-being Program Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will be: RDC or Brewery Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side) Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed Deliver cage to DCs and supermarkets Up to 2 drops per shift Essential Skills: As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial Previous experience with multi drop deliveries Training Driver's Assessment must have to be completed Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout Apply: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below People Solutions do not charge any of their candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
