JB496: Class 1 Driver (Nights)
Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 DOE
Location: Thame, Oxfordshire
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Class 1 Night Driver on behalf of one of our clients.
This role involves regular overnight driving to either of the palletised freight partners.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities for the Class 1 Driver (Nights):

  • To drive to the palletised partners to deliver and collect freight.
  • Supporting the Transport Manager and Shift Supervisors where required to ensure all health & safety regulations are met.
  • Ensuring that you are pro-active in ensuring your CPC training is kept up to date (paid for by company).
  • Complying with all health & safety regulations as set out by company and regulatory bodies.
  • Dealing with all pallet partners & colleagues politely and with respect.
  • Ensuring any issues are raised through the appropriate channels in a professional manner.
  • Acting as a positive representative for the company at all times, ensuing your appearance and that of your vehicle, always reflects this.
  • 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Hours to be worked between 1830 and 0630 (with 1 hour lunch break).

Skills and Qualifications for the Class 1 Driver (Nights):

  • Ability to work on your own and working night shifts.
  • CPC C1 qualification required.
  • At least 12 months experience driving a Class 1 vehicle.
  • Previous experience working night shifts would be preferred but not essential.

Benefits for the Class 1 Driver (Nights):

  • 22 days holiday per annum (plus 8 bank holidays).
  • Required CPC training.

Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 DOE
