In this role, youll be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods while delivering a high standard of service to our clients. The position may involve long-haul or regional routes, including occasional overnight stays depending on scheduling.Salary:£40,000 per yearShift pattern:4 on, 4 off 12-hour shiftsKey Responsibilities:Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle safely and professionallyTransport goods to and from designated locations on scheduleCarry out pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle and equipment checksMaintain accurate delivery records, logs, and inspection documentationLoad and unload freight when requiredFollow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policiesCommunicate clearly with dispatch teams and customersEnsure cargo is secured correctly and report any issues promptlyPerform minor maintenance checks and report vehicle defectRequirements:Valid Class 1 Drivers Licence with a clean driving recordMinimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience (preferred, but new passes considered)Ability to operate a range of trailer typesStrong focus on safety and attention to detailAbility to work independently and meet delivery deadlinesPhysically able to lift and handle cargo when requiredWhat We Offer:Competitive pay with overtime and bonus opportunitiesModern, well-maintained fleetConsistent routes and steady workSupportive team environment with a safety-first approachThe CompanyAt Uniserve we do amazing things.
