The Role of the HGV Auto Electrician
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Electrician / Auto Electrician to join a busy and well-established engineering team working on modern bus and coach fleets.
This is a great opportunity to work in a safety-critical transport environment, maintaining vehicles to the highest standards of reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities of the HGV Auto Electrician
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on HGV / PSV vehicles
Work on wiring systems, CANbus, multiplex systems and ECUs
Carry out inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
Support with vehicle diagnostics to minimise downtime
Respond to in-service defects and breakdowns where required
Complete job cards and compliance documentation accurately
Ensure all work is carried out to DVSA and company standards
What We’re Looking for from the HGV Auto Electrician
Previous experience as an Auto Electrician / Vehicle Electrician
Experience working on HGV, PSV, Bus or Coach vehicles
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
