Stride Recruitment are urgently recruiting ongoing HGV Collection Drivers to work in Depots across the United Kingdom using in-cab technology to carry out refuse and recycling collections on pre-planned daily routes based out of any of our clients below depots on an ongoing or Temp to Permanent basis.

Inductions ASAP or Monday 20th April 2026 at 7am.
Working Hours: DAYS - 6am to 3.30pm, Monday – Friday. 37.5 hours basic per week.
NIGHT - 2pm to 10pm, Monday – Friday. 37.5 hours basic per week.
JOB SPEC: Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed Complete relevant paperwork in real time Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles. Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users
What you’ll need to succeed: Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points) Driver CPC Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement Good communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated Willingness to undertake tasks Clean drivers licence desirable for all staff If interested please apply with up to date CV and Licence / NI for the client to complete Licence checks.
