Heavy Plant Fitter Wash Plant

We are recruiting for a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Fitter on behalf of our client based in Kirkby.

This is a hands-on role supporting site operations and maintaining heavy plant machinery and aggregate wash plant systems. It is ideal for someone with strong mechanical knowledge and a proactive approach to maintenance and uptime.

Working Hours:

? Monday to Friday: 7:00am 5:00pm

? Saturday: 7:00am 1:00pm (when required)

? Additional overtime available when necessary

? Expected hours: 47.5 60 per week

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

? Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on heavy plant machinery including excavators, loading shovels, screeners and crushers

? Service and maintain aggregate wash plant systems

? Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults

? Complete routine servicing and preventative maintenance to maximise uptime

? Monitor plant performance and ensure operational efficiency

? Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports and maintenance logs

? Work collaboratively with plant operators, fitters and management

? Ensure all tasks are carried out in line with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

? Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

? Previous experience maintaining heavy plant machinery

? Good understanding of health & safety within an industrial environment

? Basic computer literacy for reporting and record keeping

? Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently or within a team

? Flexible to work overtime and weekends when required
