Location: Kirkby (L33 4XZ)Pay: £20.00 £25.00 per hourJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentCareerMakers Recruitment are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Fitter on behalf of our client based in Kirkby.This is a hands-on role supporting site operations and maintaining heavy plant machinery and aggregate wash plant systems. It is ideal for someone with strong mechanical knowledge and a proactive approach to maintenance and uptime.Working HoursMonday to Friday: 7:00am 5:00pmSaturday: 7:00am 1:00pm (when required)Additional overtime available when necessaryExpected hours: 47.5 60 per weekKey Duties & ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned and reactive maintenance on heavy plant machinery including excavators, loading shovels, screeners and crushersService and maintain aggregate wash plant systemsDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faultsComplete routine servicing and preventative maintenance to maximise uptimeMonitor plant performance and ensure operational efficiencyMaintain accurate service records, inspection reports and maintenance logsWork collaboratively with plant operators, fitters and managementEnsure all tasks are carried out in line with health and safety regulationsRequirementsStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsPrevious experience maintaining heavy plant machineryExperience with aggregate wash plant maintenance highly desirableGood understanding of health & safety within an industrial environmentBasic computer literacy for reporting and record keepingReliable, self-motivated and able to work independently or within a teamMust be able to commute to the Kirkby site (L33 area)Flexible to work overtime and weekends when requiredPay & Benefits£20.00 £25.00 per hour (DOE)Company pensionFree parkingOn-site parkingCanteen facilitiesIf you are an experienced Heavy Duty Fitter looking for a stable, long-term opportunity, apply today or contact the CareerMakers team for more information.JBRP1_UKTJ
