We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
Primary Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel engines and heavy equipment Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections Repair or replace defective components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues Maintain accurate service and repair records Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations Test drive vehicles and equipment to ensure proper performance after repairs Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic (heavy-duty ) Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and tools Valid driver’s license (CDL but not required) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
ASE Certification (Diesel or Heavy Equipment) Experience with fleet maintenance or construction equipment Welding and fabrication experience
