Healthcare Support Worker - Mental Health, Learning Disability & Autism Job Description The Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) will work within a community-based homecare service, supporting adults and older adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism. The post holder will provide direct care within individuals homes, supporting with personal care, daily living tasks, emotional wellbeing and the implementation of personalised care plans. The aim of the role is to promote safety, independence, dignity and quality of life, enabling individuals to remain within their homes for as long as possible. Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate, person-centred care within service users' homes. Assist with personal care including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility support. Support with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning and medication prompts. Encourage independence and participation in daily routines and meaningful activities. Support adults and older adults with mental health challenges, communication needs and behaviour that may be distressing.
