Job Title: Health & Safety Manager\n\nLocation:\n \n Yorkshire\n\nSalary:\n \n £40,000 per annum\n\nJob Type:\n \n Full-time, Permanent\n\nSchedule:\n \n Monday to Friday\n\nSimon Acres Group\n \n are currently seeking a reliable and experienced\n \n Health & Safety Manager\n \n to join our highly successful and well-established client in the Kitchen manufacturing industry.\n\nThe Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for driving the continuous improvement of our client’s Health & Safety Management System, and will be confident in communicating with all levels of the business to promote a positive and inclusive safety culture.\n\nHealth & Safety Manager’s Responsibilities:\n\nAct as the competent person for health, safety, and fire safety matters within your remit\n\nDeliver health & safety induction training to all new starters\n\nSupport ongoing training and competency development in safety practices\n\nShare insights and information from incidents and audits across the business to promote learning\n\nLiaise with third-party providers and contractors delivering health & safety services or working on site\n\nConduct various assessments, such as Risk, Workplace Transport Risk, Fire Risk etc\n\nOversee and monitor the provision and usage of PPE across sites\n\nCarry out regular site audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance\n\nInvestigate reportable incidents and advise on corrective and preventive actions\n\nSupport and advise on the review of non-reportable incidents to ensure learnings are captured\n\nRespond to queries from local authorities and third parties regarding regulatory compliance\n\nAbout You:\n\nEssential Qualifications & Experience:\n\nNEBOSH Certificate (minimum)\n\nManual Handling qualification\n\nFire Risk Assessment qualification\n\nInspection of Racking qualification\n\nRecognised Auditing qualification\n\nManufacturing and Logistics industry experience\n\nProven experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments\n\nRelevant enforcement experience (internal or external)\n\nSkills & Attributes:\n\nStrong understanding of H&S legislation (criminal, civil, and regulatory)\n\nExcellent attention to detail and organisational skills\n\nHighly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and use initiative\n\nConfident communicator across all levels of the business\n\nSkilled in investigation and root cause analysis\n\nAble to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism at all times\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office 365 and digital reporting systems\n\nWhy Join our client?\n\nBe part of an innovative, highly successful, and respected business, that is continuing to grow\n\nWork in a supportive, collaborative team environment\n\nOn-site parking provided\n\nMonday to Friday schedule – work-life balance encouraged\n\nSimon Acres Group are acting as the employment agency in relation to this vacancy
