The company delivers a broad range of projects arising from various building-related issues and remedial needs, primarily within residential environments across London and the Home Counties. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Manager to strengthen their operational safety standards.\n\nRole Overview\n\nYou will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing health and safety performance across a varied portfolio of works.

The position involves providing expert advice, developing policies, conducting inspections, and promoting a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop, review and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.\n\nCarry out regular risk assessments, site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.\n\nEnsure RAMS are completed for all activities, with control measures communicated, implemented, and monitored.\n\nDeliver and coordinate health and safety training for staff and subcontractors, including toolbox talks.\n\nInvestigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.\n\nCollaborate closely with project teams to embed a strong culture of safety and awareness.\n\nStay informed of changes in legislation and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.\n\nManage and maintain accreditations with relevant health and safety bodies (e.g., CHAS).\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nProven experience as a Health & Safety Manager, ideally within property repairs, construction, or a related environment.\n\nStrong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practice.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.\n\nNEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent\n\nStrong analytical, investigative and problem-solving abilities.\n\nHighly organised, self-motivated and able to manage your own workload effectively.\n\nAssured Safety Recruitment are a specialist Health and Safety recruitment company operating across the UK.
