Health & Safety Manager – Construction & Fit-Out Projects\n\nContract Type: Freelance/Fixed-Term\nLocation: Wembley\nDuration: 6 Months – on going\nStart Date: End of January\n\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Health & Safety Manager with experience in construction and fit-out projects to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring that our refurbishment and fit-out works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.\n\nOur client has a huge framework (£35m) of Small / Medium distribution centres to deliver in 2026, scope of works on all will vary.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific health & safety plans.\n\n * Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.\n\n * Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, HSE requirements, and company policies.\n\n * Provide guidance and training to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.\n\n * Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.\n\n * Act as the primary point of contact for all health & safety matters on site.\n\nRequirements\n\n * Professional qualifications: NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent), IOSH membership desirable.\n\n * Strong background in construction and fit-out projects, ideally within industrial or commercial environments.\n\n * In-depth knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and best practices.\n\n * Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.\n\n * Ability to work independently and proactively manage health & safety across multiple teams.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n * Competitive freelance day rate.\n\n * Opportunity to lead health & safety on a high-profile refurbishment and fit-out project.\n\n * Collaborative working environment with a dedicated project team
